Artist Spotlight: Eric Price

Eric Price

Artist Eric PriceEric Price is a self-taught sculptor with over ten years of experience. I work with both Modeling Clay and Polymer Clays. He mostly portrays the human anatomy in realistic and caricature form. He is highly motivated and passionate for his work. Having attended West Liberty University on a Portfolio Review Scholarship in August of 2000, he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in December 2005 and worked as an Adjunct Professor at the Stifel Fine Arts Center in 2007 teaching Portrait Sculpture classes. A Wheeling, WV native until the age of twenty, he currently I resides in Lansing, OH where he creates hand-built sculptures from his client’s personal photographs.

“With art, it’s always important to use certain elements that have certain meaning to you. With this, I feel my interest in sculpture originates from my childhood fascination with toys and that certain elements of toys are incorporated into my bodies of work. Because of this, I view my sculptures as personalized action figures for both myself, as well as my clients.” -Eric Price
